Nail Color This Week

Holy Neon!  This color actually looks a lot more vibrant in person.  I absolutely love this color against my complexion.

Nail Color This Week

It's Essie time again.  I absolutely love the colors and quality of Essie nail polish.  I am still a huge fan of gel nail polish but I am really getting used to the ease of applying and removing regular acrylic nail polish.  I got this lovely color called Braziliant done by my local nail salon.

Nail Color This Week

Oldie but goodie…I am rocking Fiji by Essie again this week.  So simple and girly and it compliments all my spring outfits.

Nail Color This Week

I treated myself today with an underarm, eyebrow wax and got my nails done. I decided to do another acrylic fill and I chose this beautiful Essie color called In the Cab-ana. Love it!

Nail Color This Week

Picked up a fabulous new polish from Revlon - this color  #405 Peachy.  This spring I've really been into corals and peach, basically anything light and festive.

Nail Color This Week

I love a simple solid color and with the warmer temperature I especially like pastel, bright or light colors.  I chose Essie in a solid white this week and went back to a square shape.

Nail Color this Week

I have really taken to Corals this year.  The color seems to make me happy and brightens my day.   My nail color of the week is by Essie called Come Here.

Essie Polish

I fell in love with the Essie polish Fiji and decided to pick up my own bottle.  I also spotted another fabulous color Mint Candy Apple.  I normally wear gel colors but now that I've started dabbling with acrylic nails I'm picking up more lacquer nail polishes.

Nail Color This Week

I'm still rocking my stiletto nails.  I always get compliments on them, but that's not the reason why I've kept them on this long - I like the change, but I have to admit with working in an office they are not typing friendly.  The nail color polish I have on this week is my new favorite by Essie the color Fiji.

Nail Color This Week

Decided to change it up a little and go with Acrylic Nails.  It's been at least 10 years since I've applied acrylic tips to my nails.  I only did it to try out stiletto nails and I must say I absolutely love them!  I've received endless compliments from both men and women with the combination of this shape and color choice.  The nail polish is from the Orly collection and to be honest I did not get the name of the exact color, but it could be from the Happy Go Lucky theme or it may be the color Fresh.

Overall I thought the nail technician applied them a little too thick but I can live with it.

Nail Color This Week

Tried out two new colors at the same time, Coco Cabana Banana (left hand) and Amazon Flirt (right hand) from the Gelish Harmony collection.  These colors remind me of Lemon and Lime.  Beautiful vibrant colors.  They are a little runny and required several coats but as always I loved the end result.

Nail Color This Week

Trying out Princess Tiara this week.  I thought it would have been a little lighter but I still think it's a nice nude purple color.

Gelish Harmony Heaven!

Couldn't help but pick up some more Gelish Harmony colors.  They have such a wide array of colors to choose from and the quality is comparable to other gel polishes in the market.  Below is a snapshot of all 10 of the colors I have to date.  The colors I recently purchased are Need a Tan, Princess Tiara, Don't be Such a Sourpuss, Amazon  Flirt, Coco Cabana Banana, Shake it Till You Samba.  In my other posts I mentioned that I had, Pink Smoothie, Tiki Tiki Laranga, June Bride and Sea Foam.

Nail Color This Week

Love, Love, Love this Gelish polish color - Neon Tiki Tiki Laranga.  It is a very summery color and even though we are in the middle of winter,  I like wearing bright colors all year round.

Nail Color This Week

Tried out a new Gelish Harmony color at the nail salon.  I looked at this color on ebay and was not sure if it was a true yellow so I decided to go to the salon and try it first.  The color on my finger nails is called Don't Be Such A Sourpuss and the color on my toenails is called Fiji and it's made by Essie.  Even though the gelish color is not the true yellow that I wanted I would definitely add it to my collection.

Nail Color this Week

Tried out my new Gelish polish.  Love this brand!  They have so many colors and what I really like about this brand is that the polish is not as runny as some of the other gel brands.  Each coat is a full coverage but for more effect I like to apply at least 3 coats especially for the lighter colors.

The color this week is Pink Smoothie.  The duplicate to this from the CND (Creative Nail Design) would be Romantique.  Both are great colors.

Harmony Gelish!

As promised here is a look at my current Gelish collection.  I previously posted that I purchased the colors Sea Foam and Neon Rio Tiki Laranga and my latest order just arrived…I got the Top it off (top coat) and Foundation (base) as well as the colors Pink Smoothie and June Bride, the latter is a not a solid color but a glitter gel polish which I might overlap with June Bride.

Nail Art Tip Sticks

Now that I'm really getting into the gel polishes I decided I'm going to experiment a little with the colors and try to create some unique colors on my own.  Plus I wanted to have a visual of the colors I have outside of the bottle, so I purchased this nail art tip stick from ebay.  I'll do a video in the future on the different color mixes I come up with as well as the color swatches straight out the bottles.

CND Shellac Remover Wraps (Product Review)

I  finally got the opportunity to use the CND Shellac Remover Wraps and I now see why the salons don't use them.  These wraps would be great I guess if your in a very high end salon and they want to impress a certain clientele, but it pretty much does the same thing as store brand foil paper and regular cotton balls soaked in acetone.

Nail Color This Week

CND is still my favorite Gel Polish Brand - but I have been experimenting with others.  The finish is always super shiny and it's extremely easy to remove.  Wanted to go a bit darker this week and opted for all black.  The color below is Black Pool and I did this at home with my CND (creative nail design kit - and UV lamp).
