I recently celebrated my birthday and treated myself to one of my favorite makeup lines - MAC! I got the Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Dark Deep, Matchmaster Foundation in 7.5, Honey Love, Kinda Sexy and Peachstock lipsticks, Chromaline black black eyeliner, Good Times Lipglass, Cork, Swiss Chocolate and Navel eyeshadows - can't wait to try them all!

Mini Train Case Haul
I am still trying to get used to applying false eyelashes. I don't use them everyday and getting the right technique to apply them is still a challenge. However I am putting together a train case for potential clients and wanted to make sure I have enough on hand. I purchased these off of Ebay and the price compared to what I would have paid in the stores does not compare. I also picked up a lash curler for clients with long lashes that will only require mascara. I recently tested out some of the lashes and find these to be a little stiff and take a little manipulating to stay in place. I also picked up some Lipstick and Mascara wands. BHCosmetics Haul
I am getting requests to do makeup from some friends so I decided to purchase some products for the beginning of my freelance makeup kit. I ordered some mascara wands, etc on ebay which I will post once they arrive and I also picked up some great shades from BHCosmetics kiosk at the mall near my home. I've seen great reviews on their shadows and concealers and products on a whole and I felt this was an inexpensive way to start my freelance train case. I'm going to also purchase a smaller traincase - heat resistant of course. In this purchase I picked up the 28 Color Palette Neutral Eyeshadows, 28 Color Palette Smokey Eyeshadows, 32 Color Palette Lipcolors and the 10 Color Concealer Palette.

MAC Paint Pot
I started off using only the Groundwork Paint Pot but soon discovered that it's really only effective with certain eyeshadow colors. Groundwork for me works best with a more smokey look and deep browns or purples. When I want to make my greens or yellows pop I like to use Soft Ochre and now for my pinks I picked up Painterly. From Top to bottom - Soft Ochre - Groundwork and Painterly.

MAC Eyeshadows
Added some more MAC eyeshadows to my ever growing collection! I would have ended up with 5 total new colors today but the store that I visited near my place of work did not have 3 of the colors that I wanted. Fall is approaching and I find I'm getting more brown tones. You can never go wrong with soft or dark browns as they can be used multiple ways, be it for a crease shadow or eyebrow filler and it makes for a great blending shade when pulling other colors together. The bamboo shade is going to make for a great highlight and eye lid color.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
I went from not even having the Naked Palette in my radar to now owning two. Yes, I just received my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette! The colors may look a little similar to the original Naked Palette, but there are less shimmers in the Naked 2 Palette. I really like both palette's and for the price I believe they are worth it because you are getting 12 colors in each palette. The shades are very pigmented and go on really smooth.

Mini Mac Purchase
Okay, so I have an obsession with MAC products. I dropped by after watching one of my favorite youtube channels determined to find a lipstick that she mentioned in a tutorial and thought she got the name wrong, but I found it (one of the girls at the MAC store misguided me into thinking it did not exist). So on this visit I picked up a MAC Lipstick - Spirit, MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation NW50 (for years I thought I was NW45 - way too red) and a new shadow - Haux.
I've already tried out the lipstick and it's going to become a repeat color for me. I also pair it with NYX Lipgloss - Natural for ultimate shine but it looks just as good on it's own.

Onboxing My Sigma Purchase
So excited! I received my mini Sigma Haul. I ordered the Paris Palette, Dare Palette and 15 piece Premium Professional Brush Kit. I love youtube and get great ideas and learning tools from other vloggers and so many of them recommended these items. I must say the brushes are top notch. It inspired me to do my first youtube video. Clink the link here to check it out. Onboxing My Sigma Purchase I will be doing tutorials as well on the application of these palettes.

Wet N Wild Creme Eyeliner
I was watching a makeup tutorial on youtube and one of the vlogger's swore by this mascara. I picked it up at Rite Aid and for $3.99 it is not bad at all. I like that it's really jet black and with the liner pencil included it makes for an easy application.

MAC Pro Sculpting Cream and Paint Pot Purchase
Made another MAC purchase recently. I have been looking for a contour for a while now and hopefully found the right one. They say the best kind to get is 2 to 3 shades darker than your skin tone and a matte finish. I picked up the MAC Pro Sculpting Cream in the Richly Honed Color. I tried it on in the store and under the store lighting it looked like a good fit, plus it's creamy which gives a more smooth but luminous finish.
I also picked up another MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. This shade makes my light and colorful eyeshadows pop. I use the Groundwork Paint Pot color for darker colored shades like browns and purples. Using the correct base makes a huge difference.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
So, after weeks and weeks of debating if I should jump on the Naked Palette bandwagon, I caved in and purchased the original today from Sephora. I wanted try something other than MAC eyeshadows and based on all the youtube tutorials on this brand I decided to finally give it a try. I will post a picture of how it looks on me in the near future. I love the case and the colors will still compliment my MAC eyeshadows. This palette also came with the eyeshadow primer and eyeshadow brush.

Mac Paint Pot and Prep and Prime
On my last visit to Mac to purchase more shadows to fill my new palette's the salesperson told me about the paint pot for the eyes to minimize creasing of the eyeshadow. I told him I already had an eyeshadow base and he was pretty adamant that I try this. I wasn't convinced so he gave me a sample as well as a sample of the Prep and Prime in the liquid form. I tried both the next day and I must say he was correct. My previous eyeshadow base from a drugstore brand was working and I will continue to use but the Paint Pot was 10 times better. It goes on creamy and dries on me in a light violet color. The shadow sets nicely over this base. The Paint Pot color that he recommended for me was Groundwork. Really love this eyeshadow base.
The Prep and Prime goes on really smooth and does not feel like it's clogging my pores or heavy on my face. When I apply my foundation or concealer after the prep and prime they just glide right on leaving a luminous feel. My face looks flawless with this Prep and Prime. It just takes my makeup application to the next level.

More Mac Goodies
I think I'm addicted (smile). I went to purchase one more shadow and walked out with quite a bit more. In the last few days I purchased another 15 eyeshadow palette and about 10 more shades. Well, I do have to fill up both palettes :-) and I also wanted to have one palette with more cool colors and another with more bright colors (well, that's how I justified the purchase). Colors - Shale, Sketch, Malt, Da Bling, Saddle, Nocturnal - (below) Quarry, Greensmoke, Vex, Smut

Fashion Lashes
I have never put on false eyelashes in my life. It was a bit of a challenge and I really don't think I did it correctly, but I love the way it looks and I'm going to continue applying lashes until I become an expert. Below is my second attempt. I love this Ardell brand because it appears really natural and doesn't over power my eyes. The glue also dries clear and is undetectable.

Coastal Scents 88 Original Eyeshadow Palette Review
I only ever used eyeshadows from MAC Cosmetics but I decided to branch out and try a different brand. I watched several reviews from youtube and I was convinced how everyone raved about the 88 Original Palette by Coastal Scents that it was the best thing since slice bread….I'm not seeing it. The lighter colors are not as pigmented and I feel the overall quality of all the shades are really powdery. The size of the palette is great and easy to travel with though. I purchased the 88 shade palette for $12US. I bought other things from Coastal scents but this did not do it for me - think I'm going to stick with MAC for the time being.

Mini MAC Haul
I picked up some fabulous eyeshadows from MAC Cosmetics. I also purchased the 15 eyeshadow palette. The palette has a glass cover and the eyeshadow holder is sold separately. I really love the glass cover and the palette has a magnet bottom and you can go without the eyeshadow holder and just store the eyeshadows freestyle. I like a more organized look so I opted to purchase the holder. The is a quality case and worth the $18.00US. The Eyeshadow holder cost $9.00US. I think the price is reasonable. I also depotted some of my eyeshadows in the regular case (I'll share that in another post). For some reason some of the eyeshadow pans however did not respond to the magnet so I'm going to purchase magnets for them - all in all I'm very happy with my purchase.
