I am not a label junkie at all but I really wanted to get a quality handbag that I know would last for years. I automatically thought of Louis Vuitton and liked the shape of the Speedy, so I decided to take the dive and purchase the Speedy 35 (didn't plan on that rhyming). I looked for weeks before deciding if I was going to go with this brand and looked at other designer labels and kept comiing back to LV. This won't be the last high end purchase, but glad it was my first. I also ordered today a shape organizer from www.pimpmyspeedy.com. It was a site recommended by one of the youtube channels that I watch.
I love the size of the bag and the look is so classic it will go with anything.

Bed Bath and Beyond Haul
I love shopping at the BBB (Bed Bath and Beyond). You can get the best stuff for your home from A-Z. I especially love the 20% discount coupons which I never shop without - why pay more when you don't have to. My most recent trip resulted in a haul of some fabulous everyday china in white, silky feeling off white table mats with matching napkins and faux crystal napkin holder - I had a few pieces before but I am gradually adding on. I also picked up a 3 set serving bowl and whisks. BBB has not seen the last of me! (smile).

Onboxing My Sigma Purchase
So excited! I received my mini Sigma Haul. I ordered the Paris Palette, Dare Palette and 15 piece Premium Professional Brush Kit. I love youtube and get great ideas and learning tools from other vloggers and so many of them recommended these items. I must say the brushes are top notch. It inspired me to do my first youtube video. Clink the link here to check it out. Onboxing My Sigma Purchase I will be doing tutorials as well on the application of these palettes.
Nail Color This Week
I was in a pink mood when I decided to redo my polish. I went to the Salon again as I was pressed for time…again. I mentioned in a previous post that I purchased the CND (Creative Nail Design) UV Lamp and polishes but lately I haven't had the time to do them myself. I got a color this time similar to one of the shades that I own from the CND collection. I notice lately the nail salons no longer use the Shellac or CND line. In two separate salons they've used a company called Gelish. I have to say I really don't like the finish as on this brand as I do CND. Maybe it's just me but they don't seem to shine as well as CND. Gelish however does have great colors. The second photo is an example of the CND polish similar to the Gelish polish that I have on.

My New Video Camera
I wanted to start posting tutorials on youtube so I picked up a camera. I purchased the Canon T3i. I'm still figuring out all the features but I locked down the basics enough to post my first youtube video. Click on the link to check it out. Onboxing My Sigma Purchase. I will be posting a lot more in the near future so stay tuned. I attempted to use the camera portion of my new purchase as well. I didn't play with all the settings as yet but this is a standard single shot. The 18 megapixels really makes a difference!

Conair Dual Side Mirror
I have to be at work by 7am pacific time and so 9 times out of 10 I apply my makeup at work. I wanted to get a mirror that was easy to travel with and that could fit easily in my cosmetics travel bag. I picked up this mirror at Target. They come in several different colors. One side is a regular mirror and the other side is 3x the image.

Physicians Formula Bronze Booster
Decided on trying out a bronzer. I never where bronzers because of the difficulty finding one that really compliments my skin tone. I picked up the Physicians Formula Bronzer Booster. It has a glow activator in it as well. It is has a high shimmer, so I mixed it in with a baked blush powder from Milani. I like it, but won't wear it alone and will always apply very light. I placed it on my forehead, cheeks and nose. I also tried out the Mac Pro Sculpting Cream as my contour (mentioned in a previous post). It works great!

Wet N Wild Creme Eyeliner
I was watching a makeup tutorial on youtube and one of the vlogger's swore by this mascara. I picked it up at Rite Aid and for $3.99 it is not bad at all. I like that it's really jet black and with the liner pencil included it makes for an easy application.

MAC Pro Sculpting Cream and Paint Pot Purchase
Made another MAC purchase recently. I have been looking for a contour for a while now and hopefully found the right one. They say the best kind to get is 2 to 3 shades darker than your skin tone and a matte finish. I picked up the MAC Pro Sculpting Cream in the Richly Honed Color. I tried it on in the store and under the store lighting it looked like a good fit, plus it's creamy which gives a more smooth but luminous finish.
I also picked up another MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. This shade makes my light and colorful eyeshadows pop. I use the Groundwork Paint Pot color for darker colored shades like browns and purples. Using the correct base makes a huge difference.
